Strategy of an IAS Aspirant :
I have always envisioned myself contributing meaningfully to our nation’s development—through policy, governance, and public service.
This journey, I knew, could lead me to the UPSC. But as anyone who’s taken that first step will tell you—clearing the Preliminary, Mains, and the interview is no small feat.
Here’s what’s making all the difference in my preparation:
- Structured Planning: My daily schedule is split between in-depth revision and mock tests to build both knowledge and exam temperament.
- Role of Current Affairs: I dedicate 45 minutes every morning to tracking government policies, national debates, and international developments.
- Peer Group Synergy: Weekly sessions with fellow aspirants help me stay accountable, motivated, and offer alternate perspectives.
- Mindfulness Breaks: It’s crucial to detach occasionally—5-minute breathing exercises during study breaks help maintain clarity and energy.
If you’re on this UPSC journey too—what’s one thing that’s keeping you going? I’d love to hear your strategies!
