Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a major technology helping India achieve faster, inclusive development and improve governance and public service delivery. AI supports Digital India and the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, especially by leveraging India’s linguistic and cultural diversity to build multilingual AI systems suited to Indian needs.
India–AI Impact Summit 2026
India will host the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This is one of the first global AI summits hosted by a Global South country, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, innovators, and experts to focus on practical AI cooperation and deployment.
The Summit aims to translate global AI discussions into development outcomes that align with national goals such as equitable growth, inclusive innovation, and sustainable development. It emphasises responsible AI, multilateral cooperation, and people-centric applications in governance, economy, health, education, agriculture, and public services.
